A small village around 35 kms from Jodhpur, Luni is a home to the artisans of Rajasthan for many a centuries now. The objects are basically carved out of metal or wood and even clay with the traditional designs and formations those, which have been passed on through generations. \r\nLuni is a typical village of Rajasthan where the people are busy in their own chores dressed in vibrant colours and living in typically designed settlements. The hustle and bustle ends at dusk and the as the night falls it is only silence that prevails. Standing in that silence is the Fort Chanwa of Luni, an exceptional example of elegance and symmetry in Indian architecture of the last century. The red sandstone of Jodhpur with intricately carved walls and designs gives it a graceful look. The traditional paintings on the walls harmoniously reflect the skill of the master craftsmen and the bygone days.\r\nThe village of Luni nestles in the shadow of the Fort walls. The fort has today been restored in to a heritage hotel to give the visitors the feeling of royalty for few days, which the Maharajas always enjoyed!
