For discerning nature lovers Kanha Village Eco Resort is an admirable eco friendly retreat next to one of the most beautiful forest of the world – Kanha National Park. The Resort Ambience: The overpowering confines of pristine forest is as unique, grand and serene as Kanha is. The Place beats outright the best hotel accommodation around the park. Fully equipped, it has been constructed using bio degradable, locally available materials like clay, wood, straw and green roofing. The place is in complete harmony with nature - Kanha's enchanting forest canopy.

Ideally located at the peaceful surroundings of Kanha buffer the accommodation is clean, spacious and magnificent. For the visitor on wildlife safari it is a unique experience to stay in ethnic dwellings that impersonate tribal village and are yet equipped with classic modern amenities.

The Neighborhood: Dense Forests, Tribal, Village, Tiger, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Bison, Deer, Wolf, Hyena, Jackal, Monkeys, Porcupine, Civet, Jungle Cat...Butterflies and a vast check list of Kanha birds. There is complete privacy though as the resort is bounded by eco friendly wall and a gate that allows only the tourists on Kanha safari. The natural greenery is contiguous with Kanha ecosystem.

Facilities: At property includes swimming pool, lounge and conference room. The two adjacent restaurants are spacious, clean and hygienic to highest standards. They are roofed and the sides shaded with green curtains. The construction is ethnic, local style but ambience is romantic and full of dining comforts. In between is an open courtyard for fire place and hosts tribal dances and local music as you munch. The two kitchens are separate and so are the serving accessories, cooking utensils for veg. and non-veg. food. The cuisine is varied continental and Indian with local touch. Self cooking facility is available.

Wildlife Interpretation Center: Offers well stocked library books on nature, birds and animals, ampi – theater for wildlife films, photo gallery and equipments for bird watching. Lectures on wildlife and conservation are delivered by trained naturalists. There are machans birding and nature trek is organized for the zealous nature lovers and birders.

About Accommodation

Responsible tourism: The resort employs and follows eco friendly principles to minimize the impact on the fragile ecosystem by using green roofing, CFL bulbs, organic composting, rain water harvesting and recycling of water. We respect local culture & traditions and by employing local youth we try our best to do our bit for empowering local communities the sentinels of our valuable heritage.
POOL: It has been developed in a way to give feel of a natural pond. (Under Construction)

CONFERENCE HALL: We have a conference hall which can accommodate 40 people comfortably and has all required facilities for a meeting. (Under Construction)

RESTAURANT: Multi Cuisine restaurant offers scrumptious delicacies which are cooked using fresh vegetables and fruits that are procured from nearby villages. We have separate kitchens for Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian food.

LIBRARY: We have an extensive library with books on diverse subjects including wildlife, environment, novels, religion, philosophy and others. So, if you want to just enjoy a relaxed evening with man’s best friend – books be it so. Also available is a collection of books especially selected for children where they can nurture their reading habit.

LOUNGE: The facilities at the lounge include Internet connectivity, Dish TV, wildlife DVDs, a fine collection of books and indoor games, an outdoor breezeway lounge, photo CD burner, binoculars and friendly staff. You can indulge in star gazing or enjoy breeze at the lounge overlooking local water body where if you are lucky even King of the jungle – Tiger or more elusive Leopard can give you ‘darshan’ or just watch birds chirping and busy in their activities. MUSEUM / INTERPRETATION CENTRE: We have specially made a museum and interpretation centre adjoining the reception where you can get a glimpse of life in the forest and understand about local biodiversity and ecology.


Wildlife Safaris: Kanha is famous for its wildlife and watching them sitting in open gypsy is an experience unforgettable. We arrange for Gypsy vehicles for safaris who will take you to the forest.

Note: We have our own naturalists, and are in process of training more local people as naturalists and guides. This will not only provide them with better job opportunities but is also our way of helping the local people and tribal families.

Bird Watching: We at the resort can arrange for expert bird watchers with extensive knowledge of birds and local area who can help and guide you in bird watching. Here an important point to note is that this area is well known for its bird’s diversity and migratory birds.

WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY / WORKSHOP: We can help our guests in learning the art of wildlife photography. Our associates have recognition from well known photography clubs like IIPC, FIP, PSA and other national and International photography clubs. So if interested in honing your skills as wildlife photographer just let us know in advance and a tutor and guide will be ready for you.

VILLAGE TOURS: We arrange village tours for interested guests where they can see, enjoy and learn from villagers their living style and culture. If you want to dance to the tunes of tribal music we will arrange tribal dance and music program at the resort itself.

MEDICINAL PLANTATION VISIT: Just a few minutes walk from the resort is a medicinal plantation where the forest department is actively working on conservation of locally available herbs. This can be visited with local herb doctors who will not only tell you about the medical properties of the herb but if interested you can even try their prescriptions.

Kanha Village Eco Resort is fully equipped wildlife hotel and has beautifully appointed cottages and villas in vernacular style. The appearance is similar to local tribal homes with facial designs on the walls giving the resort the look of a village. Luxury cottages are ethnic in touch with all modern comforts and luxuries. Cottages: The Resort has 4 separate and 3 twin cottages. Spacious with all modern amenities but traditional style interiors, individual Air conditioners / heaters and water room coolers, tea / coffee maker, Fridge and mosquito nets. Each cottage has its own open to sky splash pool which can be reached directly through the room or the bath room. The splash pools are temperature controlled for a zazzy bath after exhusting tiger safaris. The verandah is a sit in that offers calming view of Kanha scape. The terrace is best for enjoy reading books or bird wtaching. Private dinner can be arranged at roof top on special requests. Rooms: We have 8 rooms, all well furnished. Rooms have been made in a cluster with space at the centre as the tribal make theirs, with a ‘chowk’ in between. Spacious with all modern amenities, they have been equipped with water room coolers, mosquito nets and hot and cold running water. All rooms have own attached bathrooms and verandah at the front where you can sit and relax. Honeymoon Cottages: We have ethnic honeymoon cottages for the newly wed on wildlife watching at Kanha. The honeymoon cottages are gramd, spacious with modern amenities and all comforts of three star facilities. The ambience of the accommodations are in perfect harmony with nature and have a calming effect that rejuvenates and cheers. The accommodations offers complete privacy and comfort - ethnic style.
